Pulau Ubin people had fun at a workshop specially for those organising activities for Pesta Ubin 2018!
About 90 people passionate about Pulau Ubin from 20 Organising Groups made time to attend the Pesta Ubin 2018 Workshop.
The evening started with a wonderful dinner. In the spirit of The Ubin Way, about 90% of the participants brought their own cutlery so as to reduce single-use disposables during the dinner. We hope this can be the start of a Pesta Ubin tradition to reduce our footprint!

The workshop is specially for Organising Groups who are planning activities for Pesta Ubin 2018, this workshop aimed to allow participants to get to know others passionate about Ubin and what they are offering for Pesta Ubin.
And to share ideas on how we can all improve Pesta Ubin together.
Also to collaborate with others on Pesta Ubin and Ubin issues.
During the first breakout session, participants shared “What Pesta Ubin means to me?” and "What are 3 things you want Singaporeans to know about Ubin?"
In the second session, participants came up with a Pesta Ubin activity that involves all members in their group, i.e., the aspects of Ubin that each is passionate about.
Some did fun demonstrations of their activity!
Oh look, a large fiddler crab!
Thank you to Minister Desmond Lee for making the time to drop by and share his thoughts about Ubin and our Ubin community.
The new Pesta Ubin 2018 logo was also unveiled today! It is designed by Syuan Yeong and revelead by Diandrea Ho.
Thanks to all the facilitators and organisers of the workshop.
