More mascots for the Festival of Biodiversity!

Volunteers were furiously sewing more mascots for the upcoming Festival.
Thanks to these kind and very talented volunteers, we managed to create 150 one-of-a-kind creatures to be worn by volunteers at the Festival, like we did last year.

Jani was shocked that we didn't make any coral mascots, so she personally dropped by to correct this omission.
Here's a colony of corals that Jani made.
Abby made comb jellies!
Ambert made a partner frog!
Here's just a small selection of the mascots made on Saturday. Goby and jellyfish (with tophat and moustache - for photos only) and a long-legged spider with spiderlings on her back. I apologise for not taking photos of everyone with their creations.
On Sunday, lots of enthusiastic and talented volunteers gathered for the last ditch effort!
Who says guys can't make mascots! These four are Man enough to Sew! Sabrina is the rose among the thorns.
Sean and his awesome spider on her web. The spider's boyfriend is of course super tiny.
A closer look at Sean's spider with bouncy fly.
Yin Xin makes a pair of delightful barnacles. The boy barnacle is hmmm...getting to know the girl barnacle.
Sankar made an awesome retro-virus. To be used by the volunteers manning the microscopes.
OMG, Pei Yan has made another dugong! Shortly after that, she made a baby dugong!
We couldn't resist taking a family photo of the dugongs, with 'seagrass' including a dugong feeding trail!
Ambert of course, awes everyone with his amazing creations.
His latest creation is a wild boar piglet!
Sabrina made an awesome pitcher plant!
David made a pair of rude arum flowers (not in photo) then made this drongo.
The ladies meanwhile are furiously making colourful catts, fish and a bird.
Nor Aishah and her beautiful junglefowl!
Siti carefully cleans the mascots with a lint remover. Fluff is one of the main risks of making mascots. Causing much sneezing. Multi-coloured fluff also adheres to clothes, carpets and makes cleaning up tedious.
Here's a quick photo of some of the mascots made on Sunday.
At the end of the day, we made 150 mascots!
Thanks to all the wonderful people who turned up over two weekends, we now have enough mascots for the volunteers to wear at the upcoming Festival!

For arranging the room for us to work (and mess up), THANK YOU to Joelle, Pearlynn, Sabrina and Melissa. And for making lots of fabulous mascots too.

For sharing their creativity, companionship and wild jokes over two weekends, THANK YOU to Pei Yan, Ley Kun, Yin Xin, Yu Hui, Nor Aishah, Wei Ling, Siti, Jane, Abby, Ambert, Sean, November and her mom, Jani, Joanne, Hadi, Shin Huoy, Sankar, David, Isabelle and various other people who stopped by. I apologise for not taking note of everyone's names.
