Seahorses and their relatives: a new book by Rudie Kuiter

Described as "by far the most comprehensive monograph to seahorses and their relatives ever produced", it is the definitive work on Syngnathids, some of the most interesting and bizarre creatures in the oceans.
I am particularly thrilled because Rudie Kuiter very generously included my photos of Singapore's seahorses in his book. He even allowed me share some information about our Spotted seahorse which I posted earlier on the wildfilms blog.

With 370 species illustrated and described in great detail, including all 80 seahorses, some species new to science, this book is available in Singapore for S$159.00 at Nature's Niche.

You can order the book online from the Nature's Niche website

  1. I am really excited to get this book! I have his first seahorse book, and I use it all the time. It's so useful for identifying pipefish and seahorses. I can't wait to see the new photos and species in the new book.
