Learn all about the Estuarine Crocodiles that bask in the Reserve with Bernard, an SBWR volunteer with a keen interest in our reptilian friend! Just like us, plants need a home to provide themselves with food and shelter. Plant habitats are diverse, which include gardens, ponds and even deserts. During this tour, children will be led to observe different plant habitats, explore the features of such plants and understand how certain adaptations help plants survive. Suitable for children in K1 – P6 Levels. $6 per child and $6 per accompanying adult.
18 Mar (Mon): Be an Ethnobotanist for a Day! A kid's guided tour
Join us on a journey to discover the many uses of plants for food, clothing, medicine and craft! Children can step into the shoes of an ethnobotanist, to appreciate the importance of plants in their daily lives. Learn about how plants have shaped human culture. Try your hands on the many interactive displays that can be found in the Centre of Ethnobotany! Suitable for children in K1 – P6 Levels. $6 per child and $6 per accompanying adult.
19 Mar (Tue): Nature Keeper Camp for kids
Designed to stimulate the interest of the young and inculcate in them an appreciation of our forests. This one-day Nature Keeper Camp aims to nurture young minds in active protection and conservation of our natural heritage. Suitable for children 7 - 11 years old (Primary 1 to 5). Minimum of 12 children, maximum of 40 children. Parents are to drop off their children and pick them back up after the programme is over. $25 per child (including halal lunch, afternoon tea-break and all craft materials).

Join the NParks volunteers for a tour to discover and learn about Chek Jawa's six ecosystems and the diverse array of animals that inhabits these unique habitats. Cost: $60 per group (for a maximum of 15 people).

21 Mar (Thu): Day Wild Critter Watch at Singapore Botanic Gardens
Specially for kids and the family, join this walk by Cicada Tree Eco Place! In the Gardens, you can easily observe a good diversity of our native wildlife that have adapted to parkland conditions. Here lives Flying Draco, 2 species of monitor lizards, 2 species of squirrels, frogs, toads, and many kinds of birds and insects. The Hill Myna, a globally endangered species, makes its nests in the tall trees here. $13 per participant. Free for participants’ kids aged 6 years and below.
22 Mar (Fri): Rainforest Walk at Lower Peirce Reservoir Park and Nature Reserve
Specially for kids and the family, join this walk by Cicada Tree Eco Place! We visit Lower Peirce Reservoir to walk its canopied forest trails, along its reservoir banks and forest stream. The CCNR is still home to many native wildlife, most already gone extinct in other parts of de-forested, highly developed Singapore where they once lived. Here, in this last remnant wilderness of Pulau Singapura, is the home of the Scaly Anteater, mousedeer, colugo and wild pig. $13 per participant. Free for participants’ kids aged 6 years and below.

We then walk the easy pathways to visit the ponds and other corners of the garden to meet other nite critters who live here such as the Four-lined Treefrog and Large-tailed Nightjar, plus maybe also encounter sleeping snakes and monitor lizards. $13 per participant. Free for participants’ kids aged 6 years and below.

23 Mar (Sat): Kampong forest nature ramble at Dairy Farm Nature Park
Specially for kids and the family, join this walk by Cicada Tree Eco Place! The Dairy Farm Nature Park (DFNP) is situated on the edge of the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. We visit this park to walk in the footsteps of the great scientist, Alfred Russel Wallace. During our ramble, we’ll look out for colugos, vipers, and Wallace’s favourite Longhorn beetles…..and if lucky, the female Trilobite Beetle too. This easy walk is on dirt trails with some gentle slopes. $13 per participant. Free for participants’ kids aged 6 years and below.
Specially for kids and the family, join this walk by Cicada Tree Eco Place! Chestnut Nature Parks North and South have long winding verdant trails for a good ramble. We will hike the southern portion which has a loop trail of about 2km. This park is situated on the edge of our precious Central Catchment Nature Reserve, so we should encounter rainforest wildlife along the way, such as roosting colugos, and signs of wild pig foraging activity. Come, let’s explore Singapore’s wilderness! $13 per participant. Free for participants’ kids aged 6 years and below.
