Another oil rig off Pulau Semakau: MPA notice

"Deep Driller 7" will 'jack down its legs' at the anchorage off Pulau Semakau and our coral nursery, on 10 Sep. Just as work on the gigantic “Essar Wildcat” oil rig (in red) off Pulau Semakau is supposed to be completed on 15 Sep.

With effect from 10 Sep 2008 to 04 Oct 2008 at Raffles Reserved Anchorage:

The work on the oil rig entails the loading of stores and spares; commissioning tests; crew change; familiarisation and preparation for dry tow. The rig would jack down its legs at the anchorage within the working area.

The safety boat will be in attendance during the entire period of stay of the “DEEP DRILLER 7” at the anchorage.
