Oil stains, sheen and blobs around Pulau Hantu

We saw narrow bands of black blobs floating on the water on our way back from Kusu Island yesterday (29 Apr).

Today, we saw oil stains, oil sheen and oil blobs while we surveyed submerged reefs off Pulau Hantu.


There was a band of oil stains and blobs on the sandy shore of Beting Pempang.

Along the water's edge, there were puddles of sheen and thin oil.

Floating trash were coated with black blobs.

It is quite nasty to the touch and everything of mine that was submerged in the water had the same oily feel.
