22 May (Tue): Youth Dialogue "Development and Conservation: Where Should the Line be Drawn?"

The Inaugural Dialogue will be held on 22 May 2012, International Day of Biodiversity. In line with the theme of Biodiversity, the Youth Dialogue will focus on the topic "Development and Conservation: Where should the line be drawn?". The Guest Dialogue Partner is Nominated Member of Parliament Ms Faizah Jamal. The session will be chaired by Ms Cynthia Tang, Assistant Chairman (Initiatives), SFP.

The Youth Dialogue Series brings lawmakers or policy makers together with youth to discuss topics of concern to Singaporeans. The sessions are meant to act as a form of feedback to lawmakers regarding the views of youth. Each session will feature a Guest Dialogue Partner and will involve youth from a diverse range of organisations - from educational institutions to civil society. To ensure that views from the participants are candid, the event will be closed-door, with no media involved.
