Changi motorsports hub proposals unveiled

First mooted in 2007, proposals for a massive development at Changi for a motorsports hub have been unveiled.Located on a 41ha site near Changi Airport, it is expected to cost between $200 million and $300 million. It will be completed in late 2011 and operate on a 30-year lease.

Proposals feature race tracks of about 4km long, grandstands for at least 8,000 spectators and auto workshop facilities. One proposal that aims to create a family and tourist destination includes video arcades, a 120-room three-star hotel, a museum and beach activities.
