Sultan Shoal marine construction extended to Apr 09

Works that began in Sep 08 continued to Apr 09. Works include demolition of the existing structure, removal of debris, piling works and concrete works.

This is a revision of Port Marine Notice No 169 of 2008. The working period has been extended.

With effect from 31 Jan 2009 to 30 Apr 2009. 24 hours daily, including Sundays and Public Holidays. At Sultan Shoal Lighthouse (see attached plan):


The marine construction works will include the partial demolition of the existing structure, removal of debris, piling works and concrete works. Flat top barges will be used for the transportation of materials and the crane barge and work barge will be deployed for the demolition, piling and concrete works. A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other craft to keep clearof the working area.
