Here is their message on the Youth for Ecology Singapore facebook page:
Pulau Ubin has been in the news recently as the Ubin Project soldiers on. Its aim is to find out how Singaporeans want Ubin to be developed (or not) over the course of the next few decades, and gather ideas on how to preserve its unique kampong charm and biodiversity while being more accessible to the public. In order to help bring a youth perspective to the discussion, Youth for Ecology has arranged for a focus group session with NParks to be held on Ubin itself on the morning of 21 December 2014, Sunday!
A free tour of the island will be given prior to the focus group session to give context and background, although transport will have to be paid for by ourselves (a two way bumboat trip to Ubin costs just $5 per person). Whether you have had a long love affair with Singapore’s last frontier, or have always been curious but never had the chance to visit, it promises to be an eye-opening experience that will also give you the chance to give your feedback directly to policymakers.
