Love Our Mother Shores pamphlets

10,000 copies coming soon! One side of the pamphlet showcases the amazing corals, seagrasses and mangroves that have settled naturally on the East Coast. Even at the doorstep of condos.

The other side of the pamphlet highlights Our Mother Shores, the vast unseen natural shores in the west. And how they continuously seed new life in our southern waters. From Tuas, East Coast Park to Tanah Merah, and the smaller Southern islands in between.

The pamphlets will be given out free at talks, walks, exhibitions. Hoping they will be ready for the talk and guiding workshops I am planning in October!

Love Our Mother Shores: visit baby mangroves in the East!

In the shadow of Marina Bay Sands, a small mangrove has settled on top of the seawall. With animals commonly seen in mature mangroves.  As well as some rare mangrove plants.

These are the babies of vast unseen Mother Shores in the west. Anyone can visit this amazing mangrove at almost any tide! Where and what will you see? More details below.

70 pax to Pulau Hantu on a ferry? CAN!

Mass visits to our Mother Shores, can? We test this out during our annual Family Day for regular team members. Who valiantly brought family and friends from all ages and backgrounds to visit Pulau Hantu at a high tide (2m).

Despite the hazy day, most enjoyed the stroll around the island, although many would have preferred a low tide visit. We had a little booth to share photos of the Mother Shores. Her biodiversity as well as history. A scope to look at more distant places (challenging with the haze). And everyone shared heartfelt thoughts about their hopes and dreams for Pulau Hantu.

Nature guiding workshop with Republic Poly (Sep 2026)

For the first time in 10 years, I am starting nature guiding workshops again. Because our Mother Shores needs guides to bring more people to see her and her babies on the mainland! 

Thanks to Republic Poly for hosting the first one. And the more than 30 students and friends of the Poly who made time to attend! Special thanks for the awesome turnout by youth advocates and survey team members to support as facilitators. And everyone for contributing ideas and good humour to make it a fun workshop.

I hope to do more workshops soon, and meet more people who love our shores!
