Survey on green engineering in Singapore harbour

Your opinions needed! Which coastal areas in Singapore may benefit from eco-engineering?

The World Harbours Project aims to promote development of environment sustainable and resilient urban harbours. They are conducting a global survey to understand what people think of green engineering in harbours. Not just ecological values but also human values (social, cultural, historical).

Eco-engineering refers to building concepts that integrate ecology and engineering, to design, monitor and construct new habitats and ecosystems.

Usually associated with restoration of ecosystems disturbed by pollution, reclamation. Or developing new sustainable ecosystem that have both human and ecological values.

Examples of coastal eco-engineering include construction of wetlands and coastal structures that promote establishment of native marine life.

This information will be used to develop better planning and management strategies for green engineering in harbours around the world. By gathering perspectives, they hope green/eco-engineering can be applied to improve the environment sustainability of harbours around coastal cities. The goal of the survey is
