Contest to find Singapore Nature Photographer of the Year 2017

I salute the Nature Photographic Society, Singapore (NPSS) for making ethical nature photography a key aim of this photo contest.
The contest also aims to "encourage nature photographers to have a deeper understanding of the nature objects beyond photography." Yes! In nature photography, nature should come first!

This new photo contest aims to find the Singapore Nature Photographer of the Year 2017. This year-long competition has serious prizes and multiple events recognizing the winners.

Though the photo contest, NPSS wants to
  • showcase the beauty and fragility of nature through photographic images
  • encourage nature photographers to have a deeper understanding of the nature objects beyond photography
  • inspire photographers and members of the public to preserve and conserve our natural environment through the competition
  • promote ethical nature photography practices among nature photographers in Singapore
The ambition of the NPSS is for this contest  to become the Asia Pacific equivalent of the prestigious BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
